Contemporary Forums, a division of Reed Medical Education, located in Dublin, CA, is a medical conference planning company which plans and conducts 35-40 national conferences annually.

We are currently seeking a Marketing Director who will be responsible for collaborating and strategizing with the VP-GM on marketing efforts for current and emerging educational needs and marketplace trends in the medical professional community, the development and implementation of the annual business plan, and identification and analysis of competitors, alliances, and partnerships for risk and opportunity within the Contemporary Forums/Medical Education marketplace. 

Other objectives will be to assist in developing the annual marketing budget and the development and implementation of strategic and tactical marketing plans for the annual product portfolio.  The ideal candidate will also design methodology for tracking effectiveness of ongoing marketing plans and will be accountable for driving continuous improvement in cost and effectiveness of marketing efforts.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in strategic collaboration cross functionally at a leadership team level
  • Experience with development and implementation of strategic marketing plans
  • In-depth understanding of effective direct mail and e-marketing approaches
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of eBusiness environment and Customer Relationships Management methodologies
