Conference Overview
The complexities of caring for high-risk obstetric patients require that we pay close attention to detail as well as keep an eye on the “big picture.” In order to accomplish this, we must be aware of the spectrum of issues going on with each of our patients. Is the change on the fetal monitoring strip or lab report significant? Are medications being prescribed and managed appropriately? In addition, there are broader issues to take into consideration that will also impact outcomes for both mother and baby. Is communication between team members effective and timely? Does the medical record accurately reflect the clinical picture? Are patient safety guidelines in place and incorporated into daily practice?
Join us at the 27th Annual Obstetric Nursing Conference to explore these and other challenges as we strive to ensure the best possible outcomes for the pregnant women in our care. Meet and mingle with your colleagues and our expert faculty to network, share concerns, and re-evaluate your practice based on the latest research. Return to work with increased knowledge and confidence in the excellent care you provide.

Obstetric Emergencies and Complications
During any clinical crisis situation, quick recognition and effective intervention are key to a good outcome for mother and baby. Learn the tools and strategies you need to effectively manage common obstetric crises.
This Pre-Conference will enable you to:
- Elaborate upon strategies directed at restoring maternal and fetal oxygenation.
- Analyze the relationship between maternal hemodynamic instability and impaired fetal oxygenation.
