Overview

You Are Invited!

Here is what your colleagues had to say in the post-conference survey after "Office Gynecology" 2010:

  • I have a better arsenal for treating women with recurrent vaginitis.
  • We have changed our office protocols to line up with the new pap guidelines.
  • I am more assertive when discussing strategies for preventing heart disease with my patients.
  • I am better able to select the appropriate pessary for individual patients.
  • I am offering hormone therapy as an option for menopause symptom management and am not afraid to do so!
  • I plan to lose 15 pounds so I can "walk the talk" with my overweight patients.
  • I am recommending Vitamin D, Magnesium and Omega-3 and my patients are noticing a difference in how they feel.
  • I am more targeted when interviewing patients with abnormal bleeding.
  • I now recommend vaginal estrogen and lubricants for women with sexual discomfort.

In fact, 99% of the clinicians who responded to the survey said they had made changes in practice based on what they learned at the conference and that those changes had positively impacted the health of their patients. Isn't that the goal of participating in continuing education?

Now you have the opportunity to attend this exciting national conference, where your clinical challenges will be addressed, the latest research will be translated into practical clinical application, and evidence-based approaches for managing a variety of health issues women face will be presented. Designed for MDs, NPs, CNMs, Pas and RNs from women's health and family practice settings, this conference brings together a stellar panel of clinician experts to address the clinical challenges you manage daily. Bring your questions and puzzling cases … our dynamic faculty will give you answers and guidance.

Join your colleagues and the faculty in the incomparable setting of Jackson Hole and the Grand Tetons where we have designed a schedule which allows for interprofessional learning as well as relaxation and exploration with family and friends. See you there!

Jackson Hole

Jackson Hole

Summer in Jackson Hole – breathtaking in beauty, backcountry solitude, western ambience – offers an experience unmatched anywhere else. Set in the shadow of the towering Grand Teton Mountains, Jackson Hole is a unique blend of Old West charm and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Nowhere else on earth will you find such a magnificent display of nature mixed with unlimited activities. Within its confines lie Grand Teton National Park, the National Elk
Refuge and the friendly town of Jackson -- the gateway to Yellowstone National Park.

The Grand Tetons may be the world's greatest range of mountains to behold – majestic by day, mysterious by night; purple-pink at dawn, slate-blue at dusk; sometimes misty, sometimes clear, but always trimmed by snow. Enjoy a hike on one of the clearly marked trails and capture the dazzling array of wild flowers and prolific wildlife, or venture deep into the back country for a close-up of the stunning peaks of the Grand Tetons, among the most photographed in the world.

The conference schedule has been arranged to allow time to enjoy the activities of the area. The Snake River, which winds its way along the base of the Tetons, provides a perfect playground for daytime excursions. You may choose a scenic float trip down the Snake or thrill to a whitewater adventure through one of its canyons. Golf, horseback riding, mountain biking, jeep tours, and fly fishing are just a few of the other activities you can enjoy.

If you still have the energy after an active day, kick up your heels western style to live entertainment at the Million
Dollar Cowboy Bar or attend the action-packed Jackson Hole rodeo. Over 40 restaurants in Jackson Hole offer menus to suit all tastes from delicious prime rib in the lively atmosphere of the Mangy Moose to wild game at the Gun Barrel Steak and Game House. Experience the authenticity of a Paris bistro at Rendezvous Bistro, a locals' favorite, or the creative cuisine and upscale atmosphere of the Blue Lion or Snake River Grill. And for an unequaled view and exquisite dining experience, don't miss The Granary.

The arts also flourish in Jackson Hole. Enjoy the nightly concerts of the Grand Teton Music Festival where everything from Beethoven to Bartok is performed by some of the nation's finest musicians. There are also numerous art galleries displaying the works of a number of well-known artists who make their homes here. And you won't want to miss the National Museum of Wildlife Art, situated on a dramatic cliff overlooking the National Elk Refuge. Capturing the area's natural beauty in its stunning architecture, the museum's collection includes over 5,000 art pieces ranging from early American tribes through contemporary masters.

You may also want to extend your stay to tour Yellowstone – our country's first national park and largest outside of Alaska. Visiting Yellowstone is a unique opportunity to see a wide variety of wildlife – including moose, elk, buffalo, deer, coyote, eagles and maybe even a bear – and visit the awesome thermal areas where the two contrasting elements of fire and water have produced a land of natural wonders.

Our conference site, the Snow King Resort, located at the base of Snow King Mountain, has a variety of activities and entertainment. Swim in the heated pool, relax in the Jacuzzi or take the chairlift to the top of Snow King Mountain to enjoy the view of the valley and the Tetons. And, there's plenty of action for kids, too. Speed down the Alpine Slide, challenge someone to a game of mini golf, or ride horseback up Snow King Mountain.

With such a wide array of beautiful scenery and exciting activities, you won't want to miss this opportunity to visit the spectacular area of the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone during this conference. Bring your family and friends … it'll be a trip like no other!
