ADVANCES IN TRANSPLANTATION

Invitation

The expanded donor pool and longevity of transplant recipients challenges us to adapt our approaches to maximize quality of life for solid organ transplant recipients. Making potential recipients aware of alternatives in organ availability and how these alternatives may affect outcomes drives a need to reexamine protocols for informed consent. The complexities of anticipating side effects and long term complications of immunosuppression, as well as conveying information to patients and families both pre and post transplant, are additional key issues in our practice. How do we maintain an effective knowledge base and generate best practice protocols for effective patient management?

Join us at the 20th Annual Advances in Transplantation conference to examine current trends in donor evaluation, ethical issues, pharmacologic therapies and best practice with evidence based protocols for solid organ transplantation. Explore strategies for managing long term complications of organ transplantation and review current and emerging pharmacological therapies to maintain organ function and minimize side effects. Learn from experts who will discuss strategies that are driving change in the management of solid organ transplantation.
