ADVANCED CRITICAL CARE & TRAUMA

Highlights and Benefits

Show me the data! Critical care practitioners continue to encounter complex challenges in ICU and trauma practice settings, and emphasis on the importance of utilizing evidence-based approaches to meet these challenges continues to increase dramatically. Research progresses, clinical practice evolves and new concepts are incorporated into policies and procedures. How can you stay current with the latest available information, and at the same time work with your colleagues to promote acceptance of evidence-based changes in your facilities?

We invite you to join us at the Advanced Critical Care & Trauma conference, where faculty will address these key issues in an interactive format using didactic instruction, faculty panels, case study reviews and small group discussions. The program, designed for highly experienced clinicians, will broaden your critical thinking skills through a multidisciplinary approach to the science, technology, pharmacology and human factors which influence what we do.

Meet and mingle with professionals who share your commitment to quality and value the difference you make to both healthcare in general and patient outcomes in particular. Challenge yourself to enhance the care you provide, and as a result, the satisfaction you experience in your job at the end of the day.

Highlights of the 2008 conference include:

  • Two half-day Preconferences, allowing you to attend either or both! Keeping Cool: Induced Hypothermia will examine the benefits and risks of this controversial therapy for brain and spinal cord injuries, as well as cardiac arrest survivors. Ventilator Modes and Weaning Methods will focus on managing the ventilated patient from the acute phase through the weaning process.

  • Back by popular demand, and presented by two leading experts in the field! Toxicology in Critical Care, a full-day Preconference addressing the early, accurate identification of potentially lethal toxicities in critically ill patients, their impact on morbidity and mortality and the role of antidotes in their treatment.

  • A Special Session where you’ll obtain the skills to become a Legal Nurse Consultant, offering career expansion, additional income and greater job satisfaction.

  • 12 Concurrent Sessions offering a variety of in-depth content to meet your unique educational needs and interests.

  • Special attention by the speakers to the clinical applications of the information they are presenting.

  • Ample opportunities to interact, collaborate and problem-solve with the stellar panel of faculty experts and your colleagues from across the country.

  • Access to the new Online CE Library where you can listen to sessions you couldn’t attend and reference important details after the conference.

  • The incomparable, dazzling setting of Las Vegas!

Grab your calendar, save the dates, and invite your colleagues and team members to join you at this exceptional educational event. See you in Las Vegas!
