Contemporary Forums is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. (As of January 1, 2007, ANCC’s contact hour = 60 minutes.)
Contemporary Forums is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #04516. This credit is accepted by all State Boards of Nursing for license renewal. (1 contact hour = 50 minutes.)
The Certificate of Attendance will list both ANCC credit and California BRN credit. CA BRN credit (50-min. hr.) is accepted by all state boards of nursing for license renewal. Most state boards of nursing also accept ANCC credit (60-min. hr.) for re-licensure. RN’s have the option of choosing which credit they will use for license renewal.
Many professional organizations and certifying agencies require ANCC credit. Please check with your professional and certifying organizations regarding the acceptance of ANCC vs. California BRN credit.
