Contemporary Forums designates this educational activity for a maximum of the listed AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Application for cognate credits has been filed with The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Application for CME credit has been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians. (As of January 1, 2007, ANCC’s contact hour = 60 minutes.) This credit is accepted by all State Boards of Nursing and most professional organizations. Contemporary Forums is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #04516. This credit is accepted by all State Boards of Nursing for license renewal. (1 contact hour = 50 minutes.) The Certificate of Attendance will list both ANCC credit and California BRN credit. RN’s have the option of choosing which credit they will use for license renewal. Nurse-Midwives may report up to the listed hours of credit.Many professional organizations and certifying agencies require ANCC credit. Please check with your professional and certifying organizations regarding the acceptance of ANCC vs. California BRN credit. Physician Assistants Preconference A: 3.5 hours Preconference B: 4 hours Preconference C: 4 hours Preconference D: 2.25 hours Main Conference: 12.75 hours The American Academy of Physician Assistants accepts Category 1 CME approval from organizations accredited by the ACCME to grant Category 1 hours toward the Physician’s Recognition Award.
