You asked at the 2006 conference and we have responded! “More time on managing abnormal paps and vulvar disease!” And, we are bringing back two of our most popular speakers to share their expertise on these common clinical problems.
Lisa Flowers, MD will explore the causes of pre-malignant and malignant diseases of the cervix and highlight the relationship between HPV and abnormal pap tests. Guidelines for managing abnormal paps will be discussed, with a focus on the appropriate use of HPV testing and colposcopy. Through case study discussion, recommended management of LSIL and HSIL will be reviewed, including special circumstances such as adolescence and pregnancy.
Thinh H. Duong, MD will challenge you to identify common and not-so-common vulvar lesions, including clinical differentiations and treatment options. Viral, bacterial and neoplastic vulvar skin changes will be explored and recommendations for management, including medication and biopsy, will be discussed.
