New discoveries in neural regeneration and pharmacologic alternatives are just a few of the recent changes in the care of persons with brain injury. Returning soldiers exposed to blast injuries have lead to the development of new approaches in the identification and management of minimal brain damage. Even as technology progresses, the question remains: How do we reintegrate persons with brain injury into the community and maximize their functionality following this life-altering event?
Our 6th Annual Brain Injuries Conferences will address these questions and more in the two vibrant cities of Orlando and Seattle. We are pleased that the Orlando conference will be held again in liaison with the Brain Injury Association of Florida, Inc.
What makes the 2008 Conferences “must attend” events?
- Four Preconferences from which to choose: Neurobehavioral Consequences of Brain Injury, Evidence-Based Interventions for Cognitive Disorders, The Stress of Learning Following TBI, and Spasticity.
- Strategies for delivering the most effective care in your setting.
- Valuable “tips” that you can apply immediately to ensure quality care in today’s challenging environment.
- Opportunities to fine-tune your ability to provide optimum care for even the sickest of patients.
- Advanced sessions to challenge experienced clinicians.
- 20 Concurrent Sessions to tailor this program to your specific needs.
- Networking with a nationally-known faculty as well as your colleagues from across the nation.
- Special track in Florida only for educators and school psychologists for identifying and managing behavior of children with brain injury.
- East AND West Conferences! DisneyWorld in Orlando and the beautiful Emerald City of Seattle, both offering exciting activities after conference hours.
These conferences will extend the scope of your professional practice as you interact with colleagues who can provide new resources for professional support. Reenergize yourself to do the work you know and love, and make a significant difference in the lives of these patients and their families. Join us in Orlando or Seattle to address current practice issues and refine your clinical practice in Brain Injuries.
